Surfacing
Test
Machine
(CRT-STM),
also
known
as
the
Wet
Track
Abrasion
Test
Machine,
is
a
high-quality,
simple,
and
reliable
device
designed
to
determine
the
minimum
binder
content
and
wearing
of
slurry
surfacing
mixes.
It
operates
according
to
EN
12274-5,
providing
accurate
and
consistent
results
under
wet
track
abrasion
conditions, ideal for quality control and research purposes.
The
CRT-STM
features
an
abrasive
head
compliant
with
EN
12274-5
and
a
planetary
gear
system
that
rotates
the
head
at
144
rpm
for
61
complete
cycles,
ensuring
uniform
abrasion.
The
test
bath
includes
three
spindles
to
secure
the
310mm
diameter,
5mm
thick
base
plate,
fastened
with
3
or
4
knurled
screws.
A
reinforced
rubber
hose
(80°
shore
hardness,
19mm
internal,
31mm
external
diameter)
guides
the
abrasive
media.
An
integral
timing
device
stops
the
test
automatically
after
300
seconds.
Type
A,
B,
C,
and
D
ring-shaped
annular
metal
molds
are
available,
making
the
CRT-STM
versatile
for
wearing
tests
and
determining
minimum
binder
content
in
slurry surfacing mixes.

The
slurry
surfacing
test
machine
CRT-STM
also
known
as
Wet
Track
Abrasion
Test
Machine
was
developed
to
simply
and
reliably
determine
the
minimum binder content of the mix under wet track abrasion conditions according to the determination of wearing test: EN 12274-5.

Test bath fitted with three spindles to fix the test base plate

310mm diameter and 5mm thick test base plate with 3 or 4 knurled head screw fasteners

Hose can be supplied made from 80° shore hardness rubber. The rubber is reinforced with double cord surface

The hose has an internal diameter 19mm and an external diameter of 31mm
•
Integral timing device stops the test automatically after 300 seconds
•
Type A,B,C and D Ring shaped annular metal moulds available
