SKID RESISTANCE TESTING INSTRUMENT

The   Pendulum   Skid   Resistance   Tester   is   a   precision   instrument   used worldwide   to   assess   friction   on   roads,   walkways,   and   test   materials.   Its portable,   reliable   design   allows   accurate   measurement   of   wet   and   dry surface   skid   resistance   in   both   laboratory   and   field   conditions,   giving engineers   vital   data   for   safety   evaluation   and   material   performance testing. Developed   from   early   US   designs   and   refined   at   the   UK   Transport   Research Laboratory,   the   CRT-PENDULUM   uses   the   Izod   principle   to   measure   frictional resistance.    A    pendulum    arm    with    a    calibrated    rubber    slider    strikes    the surface    at    constant    velocity,    and    the    distance    travelled    after    impact determines   the   Skid   Resistance   Value.   The   tester   includes   a   low-friction   arm, lightweight pointer, and F-scale for PSV work. Calibrated   to   EN1097-8   and   BS   7976,   the   tester   is   robust,   reliable,   and   easy to   transport.   It   supports   PSV   work,   surfacing   checks,   walkway   testing,   and accident investigations, and is made in the UK.
