HYDRAULIC STANDARD
ROLLER COMPACTOR
The
Roller
Compactor
is
a
widely
used
method
for
producing
laboratory
asphalt
slabs
that
closely
simulate
the
properties
of
highway
materials.
Slabs
can
be
compacted
to
target
mixture
densities
using
loads
equivalent
to
full-scale
equipment,
ensuring
accurate
representation of real-world pavement performance.
Hydraulically
powered
and
PLC-controlled
via
an
HMI,
the
compactor
allows
the
operator
to
select
the
number
of
passes
and
adjust
the
compaction
load.
A
manual
pressure
control
provides
further
precision.
Its
main
function
is producing high-quality slabs for beam fatigue and wheel tracking tests.
The
Hydraulic
Standard
Roller
Compactor
is
designed
for
accuracy,
repeatability,
and
versatility.
Its
robust
steel
frame
and
precision
rollers
provide
uniform
slab
density,
while
optional
heated
roller
heads
and
adjustable
vibration
allow
operators
to
closely
replicate
field
compaction
conditions, producing reliable specimens for laboratory testing.
Maximum Roller Load
30kN over 305mm roll width
Trolley Travel (mm)
±150mm or ±200mm
Speed
Variable up to 10 cycles per minute
Slab Thickness (mm)
40-100
PC
Not Required
•
Steel wheeled roller segments

•
Slabs
can
be
used
as
wheel-tracking
specimens,
and
cored
to
make
indirect
tensile
test
specimens
or
cut
into
beams
for
the
Four
Point
Bending Test
•
Vibrating roller option with adjustable frequency to simulate on-site vibratory rollers
•
CE marked
