Date: 8th October 2017. Venue: Amen Corner Karting. Goal: To be crowned champions of Go-Karting.

After weeks of emails, people moaning about teams & track studying, 14 very driven individuals (no pun intended) did battle to see who would become the Go-Kart Champions.

Joined by our colleagues from Mercol Engineering. The event was in aid of building together as a team.

From the start of the race, it was very clear that some individuals were “in it, to win it”. Such tactics would be seen as assault off the track.

After 50 minutes (76 laps) of racing, it came down to the last lap. Had it not been for some miscommunication in driver changes, the race would have been a landslide victory for Team 6 (James B &  Pete C). However the grit and determination of Team 3, (Craig W  & Paul T (Mercol)) saw them made champions of Go-Karting.

Unfortunately, not everyone can be crowned champions. However, everyone enjoyed the day of team building. Although Marianne and Tom may have finished last. That didn’t wipe the smile off Marianne’s face. (As seen in the picture above).

Finally, special thanks to Amen Corner Karting for putting on an excellent day of karting for us all.
