Customer Challenge

Petroplus, as part of their laboratory fit out required state of the art test equipment in order to service the needs of the modern asphalt industry.  The challenge facing Cooper Technology was to ensure that all the equipment was installed and calibrated to strict project deadlines.

Cooper Solution

In addition to supplying European Standard asphalt test equipment, Cooper Technology also had to respond to requests for more bespoke pieces of equipment. The long standing relationship between Petroplus and Cooper enabled a working partnership whereby new & prototype equipment could be extensively evaluated & updated by an experienced team of asphalt technologists at Petroplus. The subsequent installation and commissioning of the Petroplus facility went to plan and was operational  within the agreed timescales.

Cooper Technology’s design team combined their practical experience of the equipment with advice from Petroplus to produce operator friendly, robust equipment capable of producing repeatable & accurate results.

For Petroplus Bitumen, the Technical department continue to offer unrivaled support to the UK asphalt industry using Cooper Technology Standard & bespoke equipment, such as “Two Point Fatigue Testing, Duriez, Deformation Resistance” etc.

For Cooper Technology, the modifications and improvements suggested by Petroplus during the evaluation of prototype equipment has enabled the new equipment to be fully incorporated into Cooper’s product range.
