UKAS is the sole UK national accreditation body recognised by government to assess testing, inspection, and calibration services. UKAS has reciprocal agreements with calibration bodies in many other countries in which a Cooper Research calibration is accepted.

UKAS is the United Kingdom member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the European Co-operation on Accreditation (EA)
